Reserve Pilot Chute

While designing the Reserve pilot chute we were aware that classic type pilot chutes start dragging effectively only after they are oriented exactly along the axe of the airflow. In any other case and in any other position the airstream bypasses the pilot chute without causing enough drag to it.

To solve this problem we designed a pilot chute in which 80% of surface area is F-111 material (canopy) and only 20% of the surface is the specified net (High Drag Netting). With this construction the pilot chute creates drag independently of the stream direction.

Pilot chute spring that we use is used also in American life-saving systems. These springs are produced in large quantities. The parameters of tests and permits are extremely strict, which guarantee the long-term working life and retention of the initial parameters even at one year repack cycle.
